A warm welcome to The Peter Michael Collection.
Some 20 years ago, I set out to develop a range of delights that would not only showcase my passions, but would keep me fully satisfied as I grew into later life. By then, being well travelled, I had a clear view of what would be satisfying in a style that is largely an extension to my home, in other words somewhere I would be happy to live.
Now the Peter Michael Collection exists not only in my mind, but in the form of two award-winning well starred hotels in Newbury, Donnington Valley Hotel and Spa and The Vineyard at Stockcross, a highly reputed golf course also in Newbury, Donnington Valley Golf Club, a California Wine Specialist, The Vineyard Cellars and not forgetting my very own winery in Knights Valley, California, The Peter Michael Winery on the site of Mt. St. Helena where Robert Louis Stevenson lived with his American wife Fanny in the 1870's.
In all of these locations, there are unique things to be seen and experienced for those who are that little bit more discerning.

The Vineyard is a restaurant with 'rooms to stay' dedicated to food and wine that brings a touch of California to Berkshire. A beautifully appointed dining room provides a showcase for top flight, limited edition California wines matched by Michelin-starred contemporary, classical cuisine that is served with attentive discretion by a knowledgeable staff. The Vineyard is serious but not stuffy, innovative, and dedicated to the pursuit of excellence.
For me, wine has always been a true passion, so to be able to turn this passion into a reality in which others can share is a pinnacle. Representing over 45 of the finest boutique California wineries, The Vineyard Cellars is the UK's, indeed Europe's, only specialists in this field making these wines available to private clients and restaurants throughout the UK.
The Vineyard Cellars even stock my very own Peter Michael Winery (PMW) wines, that I am proud to say, are winning awards year on year and include those voted in the top five of the world ahead of the great French grand crus.
Following a recent £14m redevelopment, Donnington Valley Hotel and Spa is the perfect leisure break destination incorporating the ultimate in spa experiences, with an onsite 18 hole golf course.
I hope that you too find enjoyment and pleasure alongside a little sanity in what appears to be a world steadily less so, and that my Collection gives you a happy insight into my world.
